can i replace a bad lcd screen with another lcd screen that is the same size, the same resolutions and the same number of pins?

Hi, i have svf14219sgw sony vaio laptop, and the hinges r broken, i would like to replace the top and bottom case, but unfortuantely i have no idea where should i buy. I have the same laptop like this one. However, there are colorful lines "vertical and horizontal" on my screen mainly a lot on the lower level of my screen. How can I fix it and what is causing it?

How do u keep the rubber screw covers in place without falling out?

Can you please help me with a problem? My Dell Inspiron 1525 has a white screen when I turn it on, and it slowly and gradually shows black shadows in the center and expand over the whole screen. The computer system itself should be working fine. Can you please tell me if I need to replace the whole screen, or just change the LCD cable, or is it some other problem? I am gathering my nerves to open the back of the screen, please help, thank you!! <3

Don't mean to sound stupid but, i was wondering if the laptop actually works after this replacement? i didnt see the technician turn the laptop on to prove that it did. so a slight doubt has crept into my mind.

Hello, the screen size is 15.6 inches.

Hi I have tried 3 different LED screens and none of them works! The neon lights turns on and the LED is taking power but it does not show images on screen. I mange to get it work only on a 17" display. Any idea why this happens? ...I think it could be the 1080p screen resolution Sony has and the LED screens I tried were not 1080p.
